Total liquidation events underway in Sarasota and The Villages
SARASOTA, Fla. (March 27, 2026) — Leather Gallery and Bedding Center is going out of business and permanently closing its Sarasota and The Villages stores.
Bruce Weintraub began the business with his father, Harold, in 1984, opening the first Leather Gallery and Bedding Center in Hudson and laying the foundation for what would become a decades-long retail presence there. After his father’s passing in 1993, Weintraub continued to grow the business, expanding into a second location in The Villages in 2006 and another in Sarasota in 2014. The flagship location closed in 2025.
The final sales for Leather Gallery and Bedding Center are now underway at 512 N. US 27 in The Villages, and 5251 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
Across the combined 14,000 square feet of showroom space, deep discounts are available on an extensive selection of home furnishings, including handcrafted leather furniture made in Europe and the U.S. Famous name brands in leather furniture, mattresses and accessories include Best Home Furnishings, Capital Bedding, Design NS, Fjords, Flexsteel, Himolla, IMG, Leather Italia, Omnia Leather, Sealy, Softline, Southern Motion and Tempur-Pedic. Management encourages early shopping for the best selection.
